At University of Chichester we have the use of their Music Conservatoire with modern facilities, well-equipped practice rooms and an acoustically superb performance area used for teaching and the nightly Jazz Club.
There are numerous soundproof teaching and practice rooms for lessons and rehearsals
Small band/ensembles have their own teaching room throughout the week, fully equipped with piano (mostly grands), bass amp, drum kit, guitar amp and music stands.
Also available for students' use are double bass, vibraphone, marimba and concert harp.
Numbers are capped to 5 rhythm section ensembles.
There is a space in each for one pianist, one guitarist, a bassist, drummer, plus 2 frontline players.
Vocal numbers are capped at 8. The vocal group has its own own teaching room, dedicated vocal tutor and a professional accompanist.
The room is equipped with grand pianos, mics & stands, music stands and PA system.
All areas including teaching rooms, breakfast and dinner are just a few minutes' walk from your ensuite accommodation.
Ensembles use the same room throughout the week while teachers rotate, giving students the benefit of working with each of our accomplished tutors.
Our six teaching rooms are equipped with grand pianos, bass amps, guitar amps, drum kits, music stands, PAs, mics and stands - five rooms for ensembles, one room for vocalists.
For students intending to apply to Music Schools, Academies and Conservatoires we offer audition preparation and mock auditions led by Music Academy professors.
Students have the opportunity to form their own band for nightly performances, with post-tutorial time for rehearsals.
The 'Jazz Club' is open to the general public – a wonderful showcase for the day’s work.
